Community Development Training
The FRANK Team has a range of
workshops and presentations that
inspire and empower young people to
take their community ideas and
make them a reality.
Young people, empowered and
supported in their path toward
making their ideas happen,
can be very successful.
We provide fun, relevant and
effective training for young people
so they can impact in their local community
by actioning their ideas.
We build their
skills, confidence and motivation.
These training sessions are
perfect for youth committees,
youth councils, SRCs and youth forums.
We have worked with many local councils,
community groups and not for profits to
train their young people.
Our presenters all have experience on
youth councils, youth week committees
and community projects, so you and your
young people will learn from their
knowledge and be inspired by their
passion.
We can customise a session for you

- YouthSPEAK; Consulting With Your Young People - This workshop has been designed in response to the number of Councils we have heard from who are consulting with the young people in the community as part of their Council Strategic Planning. - Facilitation Quest – Train up your young people in facilitation skills so they can run their own youth forums and training sessions. The role of a facilitator, understanding group dynamics, presentation skills, structuring and how to use games in groups are all covered in this session. Get a workshop outline.

- Introduction to body image
- Interesting facts and statistics
- What the experts say and where students can get more info
- Leadership and using your voice
- Steps to a reality – steps to carrying out a project, motivating peers

Give your young people the opportunity to learn key attitudes and strategies that will have them take charge of their path. We know that often young people can feel overwhelmed with the choices they have to make, and come to believe that it is all out of their control, and so give up. This short program helps them to see they are the ones at the wheel, the control they have and how to use this power in their lives today. More info...

“We really enjoyed the workshop. It highlighted to the group of young people there are several things that the Ryde Youth Council could improve on. As a result the Youth Council is planning an events folder for future use and also looking at how and what is happening currently with our upcoming event.”
Janice Nicholson, Community Project Officer – Ryde Council
"It was great, I had a blast.
It was fun and we came up with a lot of ideas in just one day instead of several meetings."
Griffith Youth Advisory Board forum participants
"As the purpose of the workshop was an introduction into youth councils and most of
the participants have never participated in a youth council before, the workshop was
good in giving that overview and providing insight into the strategies to get their
opinions and views out there."
Glenn Harding - Auburn Council
