Youth Facilitation
Do you need experienced Youth
Facilitators who can relate and
engage with young people and
bring them together in a fun and
interactive environment to produce
results that deliver on objectives?
The Frank Team is a truly dynamic
team with over eight years of
experience in youth facilitation.
We help organisations to run youth
forums, MC events, facilitate discussions
between adults and young peoples in
communities and all with our
Frank Team flair.
YOUR YOUTH FACILITATION TEAM
All of The Frank Team Facilitators have
direct experience and knowledge in
working with young people through
their work with The Frank Team.
They also have experience with young
people through their other personal and
professional involvements.
The Frank Team Facilitators have the
ability to run a forum either with set
questions to follow or with more open topics to explore and synthesise.

Our Facilitators at all times create an atmosphere where everyone in their session feels comfortable to participate. The Frank Team has a range of games from ice-breakers to team building and competitions that we incorporate into our programs to ensure this atmosphere is created. We also structure our sessions strategically so as to step our audience through a process where they understand context (why they are there), content (what will be covered and why) and method (how we are going to do it).
All activities and techniques used in our sessions are designed to create a fun and welcoming environment and to engage the learners interest and individual creativity. These learning techniques are also in line with current research about adolescence brain development and “new” learning expectations of Generation Y.

Some examples of the Youth Facilitation The Frank Team has been a part of include:
2009 Australian Youth Forum (AYF), DEEWR: The Frank Team provided 8 youth facilitators for four different locations around Australia to facilitate discussion with groups of up to 120 young people around TWO key issues; Violence & Safety and Youth Participation in Democracy.
2008-09 Australian Apprenticeships Roundtable, DEEWR: The Frank Team provided five Facilitators at an initial three day forum, and then a Lead Facilitator and project management support over five months for the group of Australian Apprentices on the Roundtable. The group of 28 apprentices and trainees that we assisted successfully presented their research reports to Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard and other state and territory education ministers, plus other VET sector representatives in November 2008 in Darwin.
2008 Australian Federal Police Cyber-Safety Youth Forum: The Frank Team assisted the AFP to create a dynamic and relevant youth forum to gauge the ideas and experiences of young people aged 13 to 17 and their internet usage. We also provided a Youth Facilitator to run the youth forum on the day. The forum involved young people and Federal Police. This forum was highly successful and four of the young people were chosen to go overseas for an international conference following the forum.
2008 Snowy Mountains Youth Forum: The Frank Team assisted the Cooma and Monaro Councils in the Snowy Mountains to create a dynamic and relevant youth forum to gauge ideas and opinions of local young people aged 10 to 18 and their experiences of living in that area to input into the Council Social Plan. We also provided a Youth Facilitator to run the youth forum on the day. This forum was highly successful and both councils showed great interest in the outcomes and opinions expressed by the young people.
Local Councils – Working with their Youth Councils (Various): We have worked with a range of councils across Australia to facilitate conversations between young people and their community, and ensure young people have a voice that is heard in their community. A snapshot of who we have worked with include:
- Blue Mountains City Council
- Junee Shire Council
- Penrith City Council
- Shoalhaven Council
- Wyong Shire Council
- Griffith Youth Council
- Sutherland Shire Council
- Gloucester Shire Council
- Ryde Youth Council
- Cessnock Council
“The forum is a great way to allow us (the children of the world) to have a say and talk with experts about internet issues. This forum was exceptionally run and it was great to see all the adults focusing on us and letting us have a big day, rather than saying everything and having us all bored and not having a say.”
